Letitia Farris-Toussaint
Environmental Communications Consultant
After studying sciences in California and at the University Paris VII-Jussieu, Letitia Farris-Toussaint worked in international communications, research and conservation with such organizations as the French Natural History Museum and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). She managed an international sustainable development project in French Guiana at the WWF, and for the Paris Zoological Park she carried out a study aimed at integrating the Park into an international network as laid out by the International Union for Conservation of Nature. In 2001, she led a communications campaign for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund International and started working for BCL communications in 2002. She has written a number of articles and co-authored several books on environmental issues. Her most recent book, Gorillas: The Gentle Giants, was released as part of the UN’s Year of the Gorilla (2009).
